The Experience
We start at the Arco del Carmen every day at 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This walking tour is led by certified local guides who will tell you about the history and traditions of our city through its culture and, of course, its food. Every walk includes tastings and explanations of Pox and Comiteco, as well as Cacao, chocolate, and Coffee — the most representative flavors of Chiapas. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: - 🍫 Cacao & chocolate tastings - ☕ Coffee tastings - 🥃 Pox and Comiteco tastings - 🎨 Street art and colonial streets - 🏛️ Galleries and museums - 🛒 Local market visit - 🗣️ Guided in English or Spanish — your choice PRICING: - Minimum contribution: $200 MXN per person - If you enjoyed it, feel free to leave extra for your guide - 90% goes directly to your guide - 10% funds local promotion, advertising, and sales OUR COMMITMENT: - We take you to direct producers, NOT resellers. - Our guides are locals who live here, whose children go to school here, who pay rent and taxes here. - We do NOT send 40%+ of income to people or companies outside our city or country. - We are against gentrification. DURATION: - Officially 3 hours - But we adapt to the pace of the group. If you're not in a hurry, neither are we. This is authentic.
